The BG-Sentinel 2 is a professional mosquito trap developed by Biogents (Germany) and adopted by research institutes, universities, and airport quarantine stations around the world.
It works completely differently from sprays and mosquito coils. The BG-Lure releases a scent similar to human skin, drawing mosquitoes toward the unit. A built-in fan then pulls them into an internal net, where they cannot escape and dry out. No insecticide is used at any stage.
Just place it on the ground and plug it in. There is almost nothing to maintain.
In a field test on a large site, the BG-Sentinel 2 was compared against another CO₂-based trap for catching Asian tiger and house mosquitoes. The result:
The BG-Sentinel 2 performs best when placed near where mosquitoes rest and breed — close to garden plants and shrubs — rather than where people are bitten.
Avoid direct sunlight, windy spots, and places where people or pets stay. As a guide, use one unit per 50–100 m², with an effective radius of about 4–6 m. No hanging or assembly needed — just set it on the ground.
Suitable for: gardens and homes, residential complexes’ shared greenery, schools and kindergartens, shrines and temples, beer gardens, large shopping centers, university campuses, and public health surveillance.
